Jade Ruggieri is currently a senior at West Virginia University’s Reed College of Media pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism with a minor in English. Additionally, she is pursuing an accelerated master’s degree in her senior year, resulting in a bachelor’s and master’s in four years instead of six year. Specifically, she would like focus on video editing and production since she first fell in love with it in her freshman year of high school.
Originally from Maryland, Jade has been actively involved in her high school journalism program, Round Table Media, and created over 30 pieces of written and video edited, held multiple leadership roles, and executive produced the daily broadcast. worked on the WVU’s school newspaper, The Daily Athenaeum, to contribute to their video production team. Currently, she is the WVU Foundation communications intern working with media design, video production, and written new releases for the non-profit private giving organization for the school. Also, she is a teaching assistant for the sports and adventure media capstone, WVU Playbook with Chuck Scatterday.
Specifically, she loves to pursue feature news as it can connect people from all different backgrounds to each other one video at a time as well as explore the depths of how each person has their own story.
